Anna Zucchini (1922-1993)

Political activist and metalworker

Political activist and worker at Ducati. During World War II she took part in the Resistance as a partisan runner. In the post-war period she returned to Ducati as a production worker, where she was dismissed owing to her political and trade unionist commitment within the scope of the mass dismissals in 1953. Among the founders of the Union of the Italian Women of Borgo Panigale, she was always active in the fight for women’s rights. She was put in prison in San Giovanni in Monte for having distributed mimosas on 8th March on the occasion of the International Women’s day.
