Ducati was founded in 1926 with the name Società Scientifica Radio Brevetti Ducati. In 1935 the historic factory of Borgo Panigale was opened and was the stage of the strikes held in March 1944, before the bombings of October of that year which destroyed it completely. In the immediate post-war period, it was the scene of the events narrated in the documentary, which saw women among the protagonists: until the mid-nineteen fifties women indeed represented the majority of the workforce.
